š¾Ā Common Pet Myths Debunked! š¾
Ā
Letās talk about some wild things people believe about our furry friends. If you're a pet parent, you've probably heard at least one of these! Let's bust some myths and make life a little safer (and smarter) for our pets.
Ā
šĀ Myth #1: Cats always land on their feet.
Fact: Cats are agile, but theyāre not invincible! If a kitty falls from a high enough spot, she can still get injured. Protect those curious cats with coverage thatās a little more reliable than their balancing act.
Ā
šĀ Myth #2: A dogās nose is a thermometer.
Fact: Nose temperature varies for a lot of reasonsāactivity level, weather, even what they just sniffed. A warm nose doesn't always mean a fever! When in doubt, let the vet (and PetFirst!) handle it.
Ā
šĀ Myth #3: Only old dogs get arthritis.
Fact: Pets of all ages can get arthritisāyes, even the energetic ones! Early care (and the right insurance) can make all the difference for their joints and happiness.
Ā
šĀ Myth #4: Garlic prevents fleas.
Fact: Not only does garlic NOT keep fleas away, but itās also toxic to dogs and cats. Stick to safe flea treatments and leave the garlic in the kitchen!
